What’s changing
Effective July 26, 2026, TOEFL® will discontinue paper score report delivery for institutions and test takers.
All TOEFL scores will continue to be delivered digitally through our secure electronic methods, providing faster, more secure, and more reliable access to official score information.
How institutions will receive scores moving forward
Institutions will continue to access TOEFL scores through TOEFL Access, TOEFL’s secure, no-cost digital platform.
With TOEFL Access, you can:
Receive scores quickly and securely
Manage all score data in one place
View speaking and writing samples
Verify scores without interruption
Getting started with TOEFL Access
If your institution already has a DI (Designated Institution) code
You can log in using your existing EDM credentials

If your institution does NOT have a DI code
To receive TOEFL scores, your institution must apply to become a score user.

What to expect:
The review process typically takes 2–3 business days
If approved, you will receive email instructions with login details for TOEFL Access
What this means for you
No action is needed if you are already using TOEFL Access
If you currently rely on paper score reports, you’ll need to transition to TOEFL Access before July 26, 2026
This change ensures a more efficient, secure, and sustainable score reporting process for all partners
