Audit Logs provides “Administrators” with a complete record of activity within your TOEFL Access account including who logged in, score data that was accessed or exported, and any changes made to user profiles or settings. Use it to monitor access, support compliance reviews, and investigate specific actions taken by users.

To access Audit Logs, navigate to your institution's account page and select the Audit Log Management tab.

Understanding Audit Logs

Each log entry includes the following:

  • Date and Time: The exact timestamp of when the action occurred

  • Event Type: The action performed (e.g., User Login, Export Score, Update User, Update Institution Settings)

  • User ID/Email: The account associated with the action

  • Details: A brief description of the event. Select Show details wherever available for expanded information

  • Category: The type of activity, colour-coded for quick reference:

    • Authentication: Login and session-related events

    • Data Access: Score exports and data retrieval actions

    • User Management: Profile updates, role changes, and invitation activity

Exporting Audit Logs

Select Export CSV in the top right corner to download a record of the currently filtered log entries.

The export reflects your active filters. Adjust the date range and category before exporting to ensure you capture the right data.

This is useful for compliance reviews, internal audits, or sharing records with your institution's IT or security team.
